Job Description

Outbound Collections Agent

Reporting to: Team Manager

Job Purpose:To negotiate with arrears account customers to maximize debt recovery and profitability

Location: Woodstock, Cape Town | Sandton, Johannesburg

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Under the management / direction of the Team Manager, the Outbound Collections Agent will have the following responsibilities (including but not limited to):

    1. Understands, interprets and applies laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures to collections process
    2. Adhere to / utilize the collections call script/s
    3. Ensure that all debtors information held on record is up to date and accurate Ensure that the accounts are properly maintained at all time on the collections system
    4. Deals with people and/or debtors in a manner which shows empathy, tact, and professionalism

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 2 years working experience and above
  • Call centre experience would be advantageous
  • Working experience within an outbound debt collections environment / outbound sales environment / outbound customer service environment
  • Credit and Criminal clear
  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Understanding / working knowledge of a collections system is advantageous

REMUNERATION STRUCTURE:

  • Basic Salary PLUS Uncapped Commission
  • Benefits at the full cost to the Employer

    • Medical Cover (at the full cost of the employer, after successful completion of probation period)

 WORKING HOURS:

We have two available working shifts. OutboundCollections Agents work one of either the Day Shift OR the Night Shift. Theseare straight shifts, there is no rotation:

DAY SHIFT

  • Monday – Friday: You are required to work an 8.25 hour shift day, currently scheduled between 07:30am until 15:45pm
  • Saturday: You will be required to work a maximum of 2 Saturdays per month, each Saturday from 08:00am until 14:00pm

NIGHT SHIFT

  • Monday – Thursday: 16:00 pm until 20:30 pm
  • Friday: 16:00 pm until 20:00 pm
  • Saturday: You will be required to work a maximum of 2 Saturdays per month, each Saturday from 08:00 am until 14:00 pm
